J-pop Music Release Dates

March brings a pocketbook-busting list of releases for Japanese music fans. Solo artist Shota Shimizu's new album, 'Journey,' comes in both a regular and limited edition package. So does L'Arc-en-Ciel's 'Quadrinity ~Member's Best Selections~,' which features picks from each band member's best tunes on separate discs. Another collection: Miyavi's 'Fan's Best' is a selection chosen by his fans, and also includes new live recordings he picked out himself. Also of note is ICONIQ's debut, 'Change Myself.' The album will include guest appearances by M-Flo's VERBAL and a cover of Madonna's 1980s American hit 'Like a Virgin.'

Taking the award this month for the most expensive release is band BUCK-TICK, who has a special version of their single 'Dokudanjo Beauty' that comes with five figures, each representing a band member. It's already sold out from pre-orders in most places, but if you are lucky enough to come across one, make sure you have 18,000 yen (about $200) on hand.
